Sophie Badré is the VP of Corporate Affairs and supports the company’s corporate governance as the Secretary of the Board of Directors. She handles corporate communication, public affairs, talent acquisition and development. Sophie is a global experienced multicultural communications leader who strategically navigates at all levels of an organization in challenging international environments with significant background in business education, luxury goods and not-for-profit.
Sophie has worked on all continents, from Europe, to the Americas, through Asia and Australia, handling institutional communication and corporate affairs for INSEAD, L’Oréal, LVMH. And earlier in her career, Sophie had an executive role at Burson Cohn and Wolfe (WPP).
Sophie brings her global cosmopolitan mindset and strong ability to help companies and their executives to improve their managerial, operating and economic performance, restructuring and mentoring executive teams to strategically position brands worldwide. Mission-driven, fulfilled when being of service to others, Sophie strongly believes in business as a force for good. She always worked with top executives and CEOS and lead multicultural virtual teams to drive positive results and increase brand recognition and revenues.
During 11 years at INSEAD, Sophie built the media relations department, media trained its leaders and leveraged faculty research in their nine domains of expertise. She developed key institutional corporate partnerships to raise brand awareness and represented the school as brand Ambassador during international conferences at the Women's Forum in France and Abu Dhabi, the Thinkers50 in London, at DAVOS in Switzerland and collaborated with the United Nations for the joint annual Global Innovation Index.
Dual citizenship French and Canadian, Sophie operates effectively in European and North American business cultures and can help companies expand into markets on either side of the Atlantic.
Sophie holds a master’s degree specialized in economics and international laws and communication from Paris X University in France and from the Complutense University in Madrid, Spain. She studied cross-cultural studies of Anglophone cultures. Sophie attended several executive programmes at Berkeley, Stanford, Harvard and INSEAD around design thinking, creativity in Management, strategy in the age of digital disruption and Managing Global Virtual Teams.
